For bodybuilding & hypertrophy

An AI bodybuilding workout plan
built from the physique you want.

BodyMake AI is an AI workout planner for iOS that reads a photo of your goal physique and writes the hypertrophy week that leads there — split, exercises, sets, rep ranges, RPE targets and rest. Then it rewrites it every week from what you actually lifted.

Split selection

PPL or Upper/Lower,
chosen by your training days.

You tell the app how many days a week you can train. The split structure comes from rule-based templates rather than free-form generation, so the skeleton of the week is consistent — the AI decides the emphasis inside it.

  • 2 days — Full Body A / Full Body B
  • 3 days — Upper / Lower / Full, or Push / Pull / Legs
  • 4 days — Upper A / Lower A / Upper B / Lower B
  • 5 days — Push / Pull / Legs + Upper / Lower
  • 6 days — two full PPL rotations

A prescribed exercise

Dumbbell Bench Press
3 sets x 8-12 / RPE 7-8 / 90s rest

Primary: chest. Secondary: triceps, front delts.
Form: retract the scapula and keep a slight arch; elbows around 45°.
Substitutions: push-up (home) or chest press machine (busy gym).

Hypertrophy progression

Rep ranges and RPE,
not a fixed template.

Every set you log carries weight, reps and RPE. The app compares your actual RPE against the target for that exercise and tells you whether to add weight, add reps, or hold the load — the progressive-overload bookkeeping a bodybuilding block needs, done for you.

  • 101 exercises, each with a setup / execution / caution form guide
  • Recommended starting weight for every exercise on day one
  • Previous-session comparison shown while you train
  • Weekly calorie and protein targets alongside the training plan

Bodybuilding FAQ

Can AI write a bodybuilding workout plan?

BodyMake AI builds the plan in two layers. The split and the exercise selection come from rule-based templates, so the structure of a hypertrophy week stays sound: 2 days a week gives you two full-body sessions, 3 days gives Upper / Lower / Full or Push / Pull / Legs, 4 days gives Upper and Lower twice, 5 days gives PPL plus Upper/Lower, and 6 days gives two PPL rotations. The AI layer reads your goal physique photo and decides the emphasis — which muscle groups get the extra volume — and explains why each exercise is in your week.

What rep ranges and RPE does it use for hypertrophy?

Every exercise is written out as sets, a rep range, a target RPE, rest time and a recommended starting weight — for example 3 sets of 8-12 at RPE 7-8 with 90 seconds of rest. Compounds sit in the lower half of the rep range and isolation work in the upper half. When you log a set, the app compares your actual RPE against the target and tells you whether to add weight, add reps, or hold.

How is this different from a generic bodybuilding app with AI?

Most apps start from the muscle groups you say you want to train. BodyMake AI starts from a photo of the physique you are training toward, analyzes body type, muscle emphasis and leanness, and works backwards to the week. It also keeps adapting: with Pro, the weekly review reads your logged sets, fatigue and sleep and rewrites next week — inserting a deload when fatigue is high, changing frequency, or routing volume away from a body part that hurts.

Does it work if I train at home instead of a gym?

Yes. Plans can be built for a full gym, a home setup, or bodyweight only, and all 101 exercises carry a setup / execution / caution form guide plus substitutions. With Pro you can switch the environment for a single day — train at the gym today and at home tomorrow — and the exercises are swapped automatically for that session.

What does it cost?

Free covers 1 AI plan generation, unlimited workout logging, rule-based progression, nutrition targets and 4 weeks of history. Pro is $6.99/month or $39.99/year with a 7-day free trial, and adds weekly AI plan updates, environment switching, AI progression commentary, image re-analysis 4 times a month, and full history and charts. BodyMake AI requires iOS 17 or later and is not a medical service — talk to a qualified professional about pain or health conditions.
